I think that Free Writes are an excellent way to get things going. I feel that they have no pressure and I have less expectations of myself for writing something that makes sense. Sometimes, I use it as therapy. It is a great way to sort my thoughts or to pour out some emotions. Other times, I use it just to get myself writing something. Anything. I am making a personal goal for doing a Free Write every Friday for 15 minutes. I’ll be sharing those with you and am inviting you to join me on my weekly bit of writing randomness! I’ll be putting these under the category “Free Writes” which will fall under the “Exercises” category.
