A Prompt and An Exercise

This is the Prompt:

Is it possible to be too honest, or is honesty always the best policy?

Source: Truth or Dare | The Daily Post

Here’s the Exercise:

Write a scene where someone is too honest; their honesty gets them into trouble or causes someone harm (not just hurt feelings but really puts them in jeopardy). Then write it the other way. What would have happen if they had lied? Play with this story. Take the same plot and characters. Make the water shed point whether or not the one character tells the truth or a lie and let the story play itself out from there. What changes? What stays the same? Consider the reason for the changes.
