Beginning a Story!

Write the beginning of a story (no more then 200 words). Post this beginning in the comments section. That beginning is for someone else to use as well as practice in beginning stories.

Now, look through the comments and choose one of the beginnings. Write a story with that beginning.

Be sure to link back to this once you’ve finished your story so that the person who wrote the beginning can read your story.

And the more of us that join in, the more beginnings there will be for others to join in and the more cool stories there will be to read!

To get us started, here is my beginning:

Mick Checked the clock and shoved things in the bag, not really looking. Extra clothes. Deodorant and toothbrush. Laptop and cell phone. Hand gun; he paused for the gun. He couldn’t forget it and the silver it contained, but it still felt heavy and cold against his palm. Leaving their bedroom in chaos, he went down the hall. Smashing his hand against the picture of them on the wall, the frame broke and fell to the floor. He didn’t notice it. All he could think about was killing her.
